The Girl In Blue - Introduction

Have you missed Joe Chen Qiao En? - I certainly have, I haven't actually seen her since FTLY although I know she also had a drama with Blue Lan named EFHL (or something like that).. All I know is that it's a drama that I haven't gotten around to watch, although her new drama looks more interesting.

In case you didn't know Qiao En left the TW dramas for a bit. I don't think she renewed her contract with J-Star, so she's currently focusing on mainland dramas and perhaps "breaking free" from the typical TW idol dramas with the romantic and slightly silly storylines. Feng Shao Feng is in this one ;D (He was in the TVB show Drive of Life).

Well this new show is airing on June 4th

Jia Qi went to visit him and unexpectedly met He Ping again. It turned out that He Ping and Zheng Dong were childhood friends. To escape from the heartaches that He Ping's reappearance brought about, Jia Qi started dating Zheng Dong. Zheng Dong ended up in the hospital again due to stomach pains which turned out to be the terminal stage of gastric cancer. He decided to let He Ping and Jia Qi, the two lovers be together and secretly left. Jia Qi started to search for him. After Jia Qi finally found Zheng Dong, she told him that she has already fallen in love with him. Zheng Dong knew that he didn't have much time left and asked Jia Qi to help him retrieve back a very important property belonging to him. Jia Qi arrived at the place to discover that what Zheng Dong wanted to give to her was the key to her old home. When Jia Qi opened the door, she found a note left by Zheng Dong "Jia Qi, you've finally come home. Zheng Dong"
Jia Qi grabbed the note tightly in her hands, breaking down in tears.

Autumn's Concerto BTS

This BTS (Behind The Scenes) was released a while ago, but minsquare91subbing just subbed it, so now I also understand what they're staying.
I'm used to listening carefully to the dialogue as I can't read Chinese, but in BTS' there are usually a lot of noise, so I can't hear anything...

Anyways, this BTS includes Joe Chen Qiao En's visit on the set. Qiao En's famous for series like Fated To Love You (w. Ethan Ruan), Prince Turned Frog (w. Ming Dao) and she's really good friends with Ady An.
Ady An even said that she decided to accept the role as Liang MuCheng because of Qiao En.
VanNess seems distant or somewhat occupied though, maybe he's shy around people he doesn't know, or maybe he was too concentrated on his lines?

Plot:
A really unfashionable working class girl Chen Xin Yi has the desire to tie down her handsome boyfriend to be with her. Due to certain reasons, her boyfriend gets her to go on a love cruise and she started to ponder on how to lose her virginity and tie down her boyfriend. Xin Yi ended up taking cold medicine which made her drowsy and went into Ji Cun Xi's room. Cun Xi is the sole male heir to his family's company and has been in love with his girlfriend, Anna, for a long time. He planned to propose to Anna on the boat but she didn't turn up on the cruise. An island owner added drugs into Cun Xi's drink and Cun Xi became disorientated and returned to his own room. Xin Yi and Cun Xi end up having a one night stand. Xin Yi later finds out that she's pregnant and Cun Xi's grandmother forces them to get married. Will a couple forced to marry for the sake of their unborn child find love with each other?

So far it looks promising. Within the first three episodes it is now on a top 10 list of the highest rated dramas. The ratings also, as far as I remember, peaked at 6.
It seems like a challenge as this plot involves something that is rarely really mentioned in Taiwanese dramas.

Personally I do enjoy it, TianEn (Ethan & Qiao En) is a fresh new couple and they do seem to have a lot of chemistry. So far I dislike Anna though. IMO, she's really selfish, but I like Dylan. Seems like such a caring guy. Anyways, definitely recommend it, it's fun, sad and serious.

MIA for a while

So, I've been MIA for about two weeks. I was supposed to have cut a video on Hebe's Ai Lai Guo in BF, but I just haven't had the time. Apparently, being on a study trip for less than a week causes flips from the teachers - "you just missed a whole week of school". So I've been trying to do homework, although I don't feel as if I've done a whole lot. My list is still quite long and I don't have many days left. The thing is, time has been flying and I've been doing hundreds of other things than what I should have been doing.. I know, shame on me. But to be honest, this is Easter Break, how could I possibly only do homework? So as a result of my laziness, I can sit and do homework for the remaining two days. Imagine the enthusiasm in my tone.

So enough babbling, I will try to cut that video ASAP, but it might not be that soon anyway. I've been watching Ying Ye 3 Jia 1, interesting enough to begin with, but the writers or director must have had some bad days when writing the episodes 10-14, they were horribly badly written and not even MingEn (Ming Dao & Qian En)'s impeccable chemistry could save that. I'm serious, it was such a mistake to bring the D.K. character into the story, as if it wasn't complicated enough. - Near death experiences, lost guns, criminal people on the run, triangles simply weren't enough. They had to break the first triangle just to form another, great work really! But besides that, I have to admit that I have now become a MingEn fan.

So, to support my latest favourite couple I've embedded their duet from Ying Ye 3+1. The song is fine, definitely not my favourite, but it's alright. I like the MingEn interaction though. Song name: Zai Ci Xiang Xin (Believe again) by Ming Dao & Qian En
