FTLY/ISBM & HS Ratings report

I know it's quite late now, most people have probably read it. But the internet at school didn't work.

Let me just say congratulations to FTLY! They made an excellent drama that made us cry, laugh and smile. We are all sad to see it being over but we will remember this drama for a very long time.

Ratings for episode 24 (FTLY), episode 1(ISBM) & episode 5 (HS):

Amazed by ISBM's ratings? Don't be. It's all because of FTLY.

For ISBM fans, don't read further I might accidently bash the drama.
This stupid, pathetic idea of Sanlih's is so low! Because of their manipulation ISBM went straight into the toplist. No drama has ever recieved this high ratings before, it's so unfair and sad that Sanlih has taken methods like these just to receive high ratings and to promote a new drama.

I mean, I'm not a fan of ISBM, quite frankly I find it quite boring. I think the plot is so old, and I don't find any of the actors interesting. I think what I'm mostly pissed about is how they just ran past Prince Turned Frog, Hot Shot, Meteor Garden etc. I don't exactly hope for ISBM to fall on its face. But I want Sanlih to see that manipulating the dramas like that will eventually backfire. I'm pretty sure that ISBM's ratings will fall just as quick as it rose.

But maybe I'm wrong, ISBM feel free to prove me wrong. I would like to see them pull it off.

As a conclusion, ratings are SO overrated. Just look at how easy they can be manipulated.

FTLY - New Preview for Episode 24

A new preview has been released, and I love it so much, cause it almost doesn't mention Invincible Shan Bao Mei at all. - It's not that I hate the show or anything, I just think that it's only fair if it gains popularity based on it's own storyline and acting, instead of using FTLY.

Besides, this preview tells me that there will be some CX & XY moments before Invincible Shan Bao Mei takes over, and the funny doc is back! Haven't we all missed him..?

Way, FTLY is back to 10. Congratulations to FTLY, Ethan, Qiao En, Baron & the rest. Although, I have to admit I am a tiny bitsy disappointed, because I had expected more of the final episode.

As far as I see, the 30 mins extension won't have a chance in topping the previous ratings. Besides, I don't even know how they will calculate it. I find this idea of Sanlih's so stupid and so ridiculous! If the next drama, Invincible Shan Bao Mei is good, I'm sure the ratings will increase along with the popularity. FTLY didn't have any drama promoting it like that.

As for the actual FTLY episode, I truly loved this episode. I loved how they just cut to the chase in the beginning where CX was in total denial and XY cold as hell. I would never have thought off using four chickens to lead her to the church, I had only expected one. The wedding scene was amazing too, you could really tell that both Ethan & Qiao En are excellent actors/tresses during the wedding scene and the break up scene. The wedding scene was so touching when they both began to cry. It was like, "I'm about to become the happiest person on earth". - Must be amazing to be so happy with another person.

As for Hot Shot, sorry. Haven't seen it, but it seems like they are keeping their ratings pretty steady at 2-3, which is good too.

FTLY - New Long Preview

A new preview for episode 23 is out.

Btw, I'm still confused. I am no longer sure if there will that half an hour next sunday, or if tonight's episode is really the final, final episode. But I suppose we'll find out soon.

As for the preview, they all look so sad. CX is totally happy thinking that XY has accepted his proposal, while XY fights her own demons. Dylan is of course, used as a ploy to seperate them again. - Seems like it's XY's idea this time.

FTLY & HS Ratings report

So the official ratings are out:

FTLY ep 22 & HS ep 3:

As you can see FTLY dropped slightly, okay  a lot. They dropped from 10.38 that's more than 1 %, while Hot Shot rose. Let's establish a few things first, FTLY aired half an hour earlier, (because of the Olympics) - not all people were aware of that, and HS's ratings rose when FTLY was done airing. This means most people changed channel to watch HS after FTLY.

What I think, FTLY is truly getting draggy. I've felt it getting draggy for the last 5 episodes or so. I hate how no one knows how long the drama is before the very end. I hate how these channels film more and make the drama longer, just because of skyhigh ratings. I mean I love FTLY, but let's face it. They have totally been milking the cow for everything it's worth.

I think we can expect Hot Shot's ratings to increase when FTLY is done airing. Just look at it, Hot Shot's ratings doubled when FTLY was done airing, they rose with approx 0.5 % and that is just due to what, half an hour or something?

FTLY will btw, have 24 episodes! One this week and a "half" episode next week. - Before the new drama airs. How strategically put, Sanlih! Gotta give you applause for that.

FTLY Spoilers for ep 22 & 23

If you don't want to read spoilers, please disregard this post.

- Are you still interested? - Well then continue.

Alright, so these are unofficial spoilers and they may not be 100 % correct. Most of them are from other discussion boards and what others have read in the comic. - The drama is following the comics closer than the novel.

1) As we have seen in the preview that I posted below, XY receives a letter telling her that CX wants a divorce. XY is also dressed in an elegant black dress.

- Spoiler: The black dress is of courtesy to the two sisters, who says that XY should wear something pretty, so CX will regret what he is doing to XY and realise what he's missing out on. As for the divorce letter, CX is trying to trick XY, of course he doesn't want a divorce. He sends a "chicken" to distract XY so she doesn't sign the papers. This chicken is either XY's 2nd sister or Anson. Who are all included in CX's plan, they all know about it.

According to the comic book and pictures found online, (see links), the chicken is leading XY to a church where CX is waiting. He wants to remarry her.

2) In the next preview I'm gonna post in a minute, XY is crying and calling Dylan after seeing a doctor.

- Spoiler: The doctor will tell her something like she can't have children anymore.

According to the comic, it's all a misunderstanding. XY can have children and she will be pregnant in the end.

3) This is just a picture of Dylan, XY & CX. I don't actually know what scene this is. But it looks interesting. It could be after Dylan goes to see XY after her call, after hearing about her infertility. Perhaps Dylan leads XY back to CX to tell him about her "condition".

FTLY preview for episode 22/23

I stumbled upon this, it says something about episode 23 in the title, but don't know if it's just a typo. Either way, this is a new preview released by Sanlih.

I think XY receives some letter asking her to come to the lawyer's office to settle her divorce or something, and there CX surprises her with his new chicken outfit... It looks kinda funny :) What I can't figure out though, is why XY is dressed so, formal..?

FTLY & HS ratings

The official ratings are out, FTLYs ratings dropped a bit from last week (10.91) to 10.38 this week. However, Hot Shot dropped as well. The drama that rose in ratings was Honey & Clover, perhaps there was something interesting going on in this week's episode?

I can't say much about the ratings as I have only had time to quickly browse through FTLY and I haven't even begun watching Hot Shot yet. Some people might be slightly disappointed in the fact that an episode filled with so many CX & XY scenes dropped in ratings, but to be honest these things happen. Their average is still above 10 and that is pretty darn fantastic in it self, so let's not be greedy. I'm sure the next two episodes will be mind-blowing as well. I think FTLY has great chances of breaking another record for their final episode, but let's wait and see.
