The Clue Collector / Pi Li MIT - Episode 1 - RATINGS

There were some confusion on the ratings earlier this week, and I forgot to post it.
Apparently, even though Pi Li MIT is fairly popular, they didn't receive very high ratings, in fact it's pretty bad. But people are AF say that it's due to the channel FTV and the competitors on Fridays.

Ratings for Episode 1 is 0.79.
Peak rating - 2.24
Lowest rating - 0.49

I have rarely seen such low numbers, on the other hand that is for Taiwanese Idol Dramas airing on Sundays, maybe Fridays are even tougher. But I do know that it's pretty bad, I suppose we'll just have to hope that it will increase.

And 2. episode is out.. I was watching episode 1 and it actually doesn't seem too bad, except I'm not very fond of Gui Gui's voice. It sounds rather, shrilling in my ears. But Arron is quite talented, considering he hasn't been acting much..

Song of The day # 5

I was browsing through the Chinese Phoenix channel when I saw this MV. I thought the song was pretty good, and I was so sure it was Angela Zhang who sang it, at least part of it. So I googled it and I was right.

The song is a duet by Angela Zhang & Fan Wei Qi (also known as Christine Fan)
While the theme behind the song is slightly different than what I first thought, I really like this song.

Some say the theme is homosexuality, while I'm not sure I completely agree, I don't really care either. I have nothing against homosexuality or lesbians, in fact I think it's great that they address the issue and sort of makes it seem "alright".

To be honest, I thought it was way too rushed ! I don't think I can really judge because I've only seen the last couple of episodes, but the game was about JE & DFX and yet, in the end they focused more on brotherhood. I can't figure out what was more important in this drama, love, basketball or brotherhood? Perhaps all three, but then the drama was too short. I don't believe you can fill in so many themes in 16 episodes.

Also, the way W died was so unfair. She had just helped them with the game and when she supposedly died no one noticed, they were all too busy jumping after the basketball to notice.

I didn't get the whole, sacrificing one person for the game-thing.. WJZ said something about him being the one to sacrifice himself for the game. - I'm not sure if I got it right, but it was just sort of weird..

In conclusion, weird and rushed ending. It was like they realised, oh wait we have to end this drama, well okay, let's just end it here.

Personally, I read the books a couple of years back and also saw the first movie then. I immediately loved the movie and bought it for collection. While, I realise this is a teenage film I still do enjoy it. I mean, I am a teenager, although slightly older now, but I'm still enjoying these casual movies. - I would even go as far as saying that this movie is targeting a slightly older audience than the first, cause the girls have grown up and they now face more mature problems than they did in the first movie. While I definitely miss Mike Vogel (played Bridget's love interest Eric), I don't think there would have been room for him, because Bridget's storyline focused on the nightmares of her past with her mom. - Although, Leonardo Nam definitely looks better.

I'm afraid this will be the final movie as it seems like the pants are gone, and they "crammed" the three final books into one movie. - I guess the girls have grown older and have their respective series and projects to do.

But watch it anyway, and judge for yourself.

America's New President !

Congratulations to Barack Obama & family but also to the Democrats who are back.
I thought he would win, but I was never 100 % sure before some of the votes were counted. The votes are still being counted, but it's pretty safe to say that Barack Obama has made history of becoming the first black president.

Barack Obama has so far won 349 electoral votes while John McCain has "only" won 163 electoral votes. The Democrats also won a majority in the senate and the house of representatives. For recent and more precise numbers, go to CBS News

I don't know much about the voting system in America, but I know that the new president will officially move into the White House on 20. January 2009.

My opinion, if I could vote, I had voted for Obama as well. I agree more with his politics than with McCain's and frankly, I don't want to see Mrs. Sarah Palin as potential commander-in-chief !
