Save The Last Dance For Me - Korean Drama 2004/5

Check out the Korean drama "Save The Last Dance For Me", I really love it. It seems as if it has a plot full of clichés, but they do throw lots of twists at you to make it much more interesting. I find their acting rather credible and quite enjoyable actually, and the chemistry between the two leads is impeccable!

Plot: Eun-soo (Eugene) is a lovely but unsophisticated woman who runs a small resort inn with her father. Eunsoo is just an ordinary girl, but her life changes when she meets a man (Ji Sung) who's completely lost his memory. She takes him in and cares for him, and even gives him a name: "Baek Changho". Love blossoms, and soon wedding bells can be heard. But on the night of their wedding engagement ceremony, Eunsoo's father passes away. And soon after, Changho disappears too! In the blink of an eye, the two people Eunsoo loves most in the world have left her.

But Changho has his reasons for disappearing: his real name is Kang Hyunwoo, and he's heir to a large conglomerate. In a twist of fate, whilst he has regained his memory prior to meeting Eunsoo, he now cannot remember the time he spent with her and her father. Even more, someone is plotting to kill him. There are outside forces working to keep them apart.

In search of her Changho in this stranger called Hyunwoo, Eunsoo heads into the company Hyunwoo leads. Through a series of events, Hyunwoo finds himself falling in love with her, this woman who is a stranger yet so firmiliar.

Whilst all this is happening, matters are further complicated by Soo Jin, Hyunwoo's soon to be fiance. Having waited a decade for him to finally commit to a relationship with her, Soo Jin is powerless as she watches Hyunwoo fall in love with Eunsoo. And then there is Tae-min, the heir apparent to Hyunwoo's company until Hyunwoo re-emerged after he lost his memory. Behind Tae-min's relationship with Hyunwoo as his best friend and his father's trusted right hand man, hides a a personal vendetta against Hyunwoo's family. The dangerous becomes deadly when he too falls in love with the charming Eunsoo only to realise she has only ever seen him as a friend.

Plus lots of other actors/actresses. If you know Korean, then definitely, good for you! - Or if you, like me, don't know Korean then it's possible to find a version with English subtitles. SilentRegrets.com have subbed the drama.
I couldn't find a trailer, cause the drama was from 2004/5, but here's a picture of the leads. - Remember, don't judge the book by its cover, your loss if you don't watch it.

PS: While you're at it, check out the fabulous OST from Save The Last Dance For Me. I'll upload it some other time, but you can find the songs on my playlist. Songs from 2-6 are from the OST.
