As you've probably noticed I haven't updated this blog for a month.
I wanna come up with a great excuse, but the truth is lack of time. It's such a cliché but true, nevertheless.

I'm currently in another country doing a very intensive summer course, so unfortunately the blog is on temporary hiatus.

I'm sorry to let any faithful readers (or drama-junkies) down, but currently time is an issue. However, I hope you have found alternative ways to watch your dramas.

I don't know when I'll be back, possibly after the summer, but you never know.

Hmmm..
I just saw the theme song for Love Keeps Going. Three points worth mentioning:
- Xiao Xiao Bin is in it! (Might wanna watch it after all, I miss the little kiddo.

- It might not just be a silly drama, several people are crying = drama = me might like :)

Then again, it's still Cyndi Wang who has never impressed me with her acting, her appearance or her chemistry with any male lead...

Who is the third party here?

To shed the pain of the past, Jie Xiu and Xiao Ru, this fake wedded couple, go on a honeymoon. What is unexpected is that Jie Xiu, who is capable of cutting one-liners that can kill a person with frustration, when he decides to be romantic, is capable of sweet nothings that can kill a person with tenderness. With the help of Jie Xiu, Xiao Ru starts to gradually forget the pain of her failed love. What is waiting for her is a series of surprises arranged by Jie Xiu.

Sunny Happiness - Episode 14

Okay, according to a news article, Mei Le, Go will air on 5 June 2011. So this means Sunny Happiness has two more episodes. I did wonder how they could possibly squeeze everything into one episode..

They almost had it. She had her reply typed and everything, then Wan Lan happened.. Argh, hated her so much in these episodes. - This is despite not being a die-hard YY & YJ shipper. She's just annoying. This was probably one of the parts of the overall plot that didn't sit too well with me. I was like, what they hadn't overcome enough already?!

I honestly hated Xin Jie a bit for causing the accident too. But then Yun Chao confessed and I felt kinda bad for her. No, she didn't do it on purpose, and while it has nothing to do with Yong Yong, she will be severely punished later. (Am I revealing too much?)

Has everyone taken a peek at the mainland Chinese version, or are some of you still faithfully waiting for the TW version?

Fan Fan & Blackie's wedding (Song of the Day)

I know this is practically ancient news, (okay maybe not ancient, but to the newsworld it's old), but I'm just so happy for this couple :D

Fan Fan & Blackie married on May 7th, 2011.

I hardly know Blackie, he's always just been Fan Fan's boyfriend to me, don't watch variety shows, so don't really know much about him. But I do know he seems to love Fan Fan very much, and I saw his proposal on youtube and now seeing bits of their wedding.

Fan Fan & Blackie dated for 10 years before tying the knot. They're pretty much the golden couple in Taiwan, and with good reason, they're über cute xD

The media was present at their wedding, as they've always been open about their relationship, and let's face it. As if the media would stay away anyway, it would just end up like Barbie Hsu's wedding..

Anyways, a music video was released of their wedding, including one of Fan Fan's songs. A very nice melody and sweet lyrics too ^_^

I wish Fan Fan & Blackie all the happiness in the world! :D

I was so touched by Blackie's wedding vows, how he had dreamt of that day for the past 10 years, marrying Fan Fan was a blessing and gift from God. - Fan Fan went a little teary too :) He also had to scream "I do" because his mic wasn't working.

Introduction - Mei Le, Go (Love Keeps Going)

Since Sunny Happiness ends in two weeks (at least I believe so), Mei Le, Go will take over their Sunday slot.



For Mike He fans - look forward to it, he's in this one too.
Generally I do like Mike He, although I find his characters are always so similar, I wish he would do something a bit more challenging.

As for Cyndi Wang, I don't really have an opinion of her. I think I've watched like one drama with her, and it was a while ago. She didn't blow me away back then, and don't assume she will this time either.

Sunny Happiness - Episode 15 (Preview # 1)

I think... I became neutral towards the pairings when I saw Yun Jie cry... Throughout most of the drama he was just a bit too composed and passive for my taste, whereas Yun Chao was most actively pursuing what he wanted. But then Yun Jie finally spoke up, then Wan Lan came in - annoying twit, if you ask me. But when he shed actual tears, I was convinced he loved her..

So I absolutely don't mind Yun Jie & Yong Yong, I just feel bad for Yun Chao..

Yun Jie & Yong Yong were, admittedly pretty cute in the beginning of this episode... But I LOVED Yun Chao & Yong Yong's scenes more. It's probably one of my favourite episodes in terms of YC&YY :) The scenes in the theme park were über cute.

But bawr.. I totally hated Wan Lan in this episode.. Agree?

The Chinese version of Sunny Happiness - slightly different, more conservative.. You know the drill. But a few of you have been asking for it. I'm assuming us English-speaking people won't be able to do much of a difference for the Taiwanese ratings anyway...

I previously posted an English version of the TW version. The subber has sadly, decided not to sub anymore. S/he referred to these links on viki.

Recommend a TV-show

So I raced through Sunny Happiness because I was pleasantly surprised by it. The quality of the acting was great, plot-wise not original, but it was wonderfully executed. It wasn't the usual silly, light-hearted drama, it had its comic moments along with serious and well written storylines. Overall, definitely one of the better TW ones :)

But because of the drama's high quality, I finished it already.. Yes, I cheated on the Taiwanese version with the Chinese version, but it's not like my viewing makes a difference on the ratings.. I'll still watch the TW version every Sunday because I know they cut the two versions differently.

Anyway, onto my actual point.. Since I have nothing to watch... Please recommend me a new drama or movie :)

- I'm a big fan of tearjerkers.
I loved One Litre of Tears and Stairway to Heaven.

- I love drama, preferably lots of it, but only if it's realistic..
I loved Summer's Desire and Autumn's Concerto.

- I don't have enough patience for loooong dramas.
It has to be real catchy if it's beyond 25 episodes..

- I don't like the traditional TW dramas..
By that I mean something along the lines of.. Ahem.. Love Buffet ahem... (No offence), but life's too short for bad acting and bad plots.

I don't mind it being Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese or American :)

Sunny Happiness - Episode 10

I'm finally up-to-speed with this drama. So far, I'd say the beginning is rather slow-paced and kinda boring. But I took a peek at the upcoming episodes (yes, through the other Chinese version), and although it's filled with clichés and endless twists and turns, it's not so bad :)

Although, I found myself falling for Li Yi Feng aka. Yun Chao. I'm kinda torn between the brothers, I think Yun Chao & Yong Yong are uber cute. But I can tell Yong Yong only sees him as a friend, whereas she totally has the hots for Yun Jie..

On a sidenote, does anyone else think Li Yi Feng looks a bit like a mixture of Jimmy Lin and Arron Yan? He's like hot.. :) Those dimples....
