Seems like we've waited forever, finally it's out :)
I love XiaoLe :) It's so cute when he takes the dish out of the oven (although I wonder how he didn't burn his fingers..), sniffed the food and gave GuangXi the carrots. It was über cute. When GuangXi commented on how he felt XiaoLe's eating habits resembled his own, I was like, "well of course they do, he's your son!". XD

I'm so happy for AC, I haven't had time to watch the full episode yet, I watched most parts, but not a 100 %, anyways, the parts that I did watch were great! I LOVED the GuangXi and XiaoLe interaction, when they were holding hands, when GuangXi smiled at him, when XiaoLe said "Yes, ba ba.", and when XiaoLe said he had to pee" XD

Autumn's Concerto Episode 8 (w.o. English Subs)

I've been celebrating Thanksgiving early this year, so I just got home to watch AC.
HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
I cheated - I watched the last part first because I knew that would include MuCheng and GuangXi together.
I am really LOVING the father and son interaction, it's amazingly cute!
The preview for the next episode looks great as well :) They might just play a little family for XiaoLe's sake. - I honestly love that kid, he's so cute.

Autumn's Concerto - Episode 3 [Recap]

I wonder if I ever get around to catch up on the recaps, XD
But I've been rather busy with school and work.

Here's the recap for episode 3.
Summary for episode 3:
- GuangXi and MuCheng start over on better terms.
- GuangXi attends a charity event with his mom and YiQian
- Uncle Cai decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to carry out his plan to rape MuCheng.
- GuangXi arrives in time to save her
- But MuCheng is kicked out by Xiao Ah Yi who takes Uncle Cai's side
- MuCheng lives at GuangXi's friend Jacko's abandoned extra house
- A "truth hearing" is scheduled to take place as the almost-rape story goes public and the school wants to get to the bottom of the case.

We begin the episode from where we left off, MuCheng and GuangXi escape from Zhang Ai Li's "gang" and take the public bus. In the bus MuCheng realises that they are still holding hands and she quickly slips her hand out.

MuCheng is rather worried though when she sees that GuangXi is bleeding, he apologises for having put her in that position, since it was him Zhang Ai Li wanted to hurt and MuCheng just happened to become the scapegoat. GuangXi however seems to already be interested in MuCheng as he asks if they can start over.
The two discuss their childhood. - Apparently GuangXi never tried taking the public bus before, because he always had a driver and he admired the people on buses because they could go wherever they wanted to. I.e. he didn't have that kind of freedom. Whereas MuCheng hated public buses, because she was afraid of falling asleep on buses because Xiao Ah Yi once tried to abandon her while she fell asleep on a bus. GuangXi then replies that if only they had gotten to know each other earlier, then they could take the bus together, and he would sit next to her, he would never leave her. - So cute :)

The two take a walk afterwards where GuangXi mentions the bird they saved together in Sheng De Tang. He then says,

"Once you have started, you can't let go." - A rather memorable quote as MuCheng ends up saying it back to him in the 5th episode.


MuCheng asks him why he is so dominating, and he replies saying that he's just that dominating by nature, once he has decided that he wants something, he won't let go, referring to her ;)
Just before the two part ways he reminds her that he is still expecting her to play the piano for him during the evening at Sheng De Tang.

The next scene is of Director He and the scholarship student Xu Fang Guo, we learn that Director He has decided to hire Xu Fang Guo for some of his company's legal cases.

Disgusting Uncle Cai delivers bentos to the Fang's house and learns through the maid that both President Fang and GuangXi has an event and will be home late. Uncle Cai thinks it's the perfect opportunity for him to strike and move on with his plan...


Cut to YiQian's event, it's some event related to her father's company for "The Special Diseases Foundation Group" which GuangXi and President Fang is attending. We see a kind-hearted YiQian who tries to help a little girl get her ball out from the tree, of course she isn't tall enough and GuangXi comes and saves the day. We also learn that YiQian is also named Emily in English. YiQian reveals that she likes children and wants to become a pediatrician in the future. Later she also mentions that she invited GuangXi to the event so he could play soccer coach for the kids with special diseases.

Director He and President Fang watch YiQian and GuangXi from afar and Director He implies that he approves of GuangXi. Xu Fang Guo is apparently jealous.. I wonder if it's because he just doesn't like GuangXi being praised or if he's into YiQian himself.

YiQian catches GuangXi looking at his watch, he says he has somewhere he needs to be later, and she agrees to help him find an excuse to get away from there. She asks him whether or not he's a good actor and asks if he can act out food poisoning or gastroenteritis - of course she asks in a mocking way making it a bit comical. Although the comic part ends when GuangXi faints. YiQian thinks it's part of the ploy but later realises it might just have been real.

Meanwhile MuCheng arrives at Sheng De Tang and prepares to play piano for GuangXi. She greets the bird whom they named "XiaoLe". At the same time Uncle Cai is waiting for Xiao Ah Yi to go to her dancing class so he can "surprise" MuCheng at Sheng De Tang. Xiao Ah Yi is however not that easily fooled and decides to follow Uncle Cai.

A doctor tells GuangXi that he fainted because his brain lacked oxygen, and he recommends GuangXi to do a proper check up at the hospital. YiQian is instantly worried but GuangXi claims that it's on old illness. He then rushes off to Sheng De Tang to meet MuCheng. It's quite obviously how important this meeting is to him.




Back at Sheng De Tang Uncle Cai arrives giving MuCheng money, expecting to have sex with her just because he paid her. MuCheng is furious and throws the money back at him. Uncle Cai is still under the impression that MuCheng and GuangXi have sex every night at Sheng De Tang and is angry that GuangXi "got her first." She tries to escape, but Uncle Cai tries to rape her. MuCheng desperately tries to talk him out of it by saying she's his daughter whom he has raised, but he couldn't care less. He instead feels that it's his right to rape her, just because he raised her. As if she owe it to him! - Did I mention he was a despicable old hag?
Uncle Cai is luckily interrupted as Xiao Ah Yi steps in and asks them what they are doing?! The despicable man panics and blames MuCheng, accusing her of seducing him. Xiao Ah Yi is apparently dumb enough to believe the man and instead gets furious with MuCheng asking her why she tried to seduce her man. She doesn't believe that he betrayed her. Xiao Ah Yi is about to slap MuCheng as GuangXi arrives and luckily holds her back. GuangXi quickly understands what is going on and starts hitting the despicable man.. (Go GuangXi! ) But he is held back as the school's guards or security comes in. They are questioned by the school and Despicable Cai says he wants to sue GuangXi.



But he is however, quick to leave when one of the managers at the school says he has already asked the school's security to fetch the surveillance camera. They drag MuCheng along despite GuangXi's attempt to stop them. Lawyer Xiao Lin then arrives saying the security just informed him that the suivellance tape has been lost.. Despicable Cai then stops up and is suddenly not in such a hurry to leave, because they no longer have the crucial evidence to prove that he came onto MuCheng and he actually tried to rape her. Instead he decides to get a health record or injury report from the hospital to prove his injuries so he can sue GuangXi for compensation for hitting a worker for no apparent reason. (I hate him SO MUCH!)



MuCheng is then kicked out of her own house by Xiao Ah Yi. Luckily GuangXi comes and arranges for her to live at Jacko's "extra" house. The key happened to be in the mailbox, don't they have thieves in Taiwan?? Anyways, MuCheng has a break down in the bathroom so GuangXi doesn't see it while GuangXi prepares the bed for MuCheng. - He's so considerate in this scene. I felt so sorry for MuCheng. She was kicked out by the only person she considers her family, Xiao Ah Yi and she was almost raped by that despicable man and her step-mom is taking his side! I would be crying my heart out as well..



Before MuCheng goes to bed GuangXi promises her that

"If you come across any danger in the future, you don't need to scream until you lose your voice, you just need to call out the name, Ren Guang Xi, and I will come to save you." - Ren Guang Xi



GuangXi decides to get a glass of milk for MuCheng so she can sleep better but when he returns she's already asleep. The next morning GuangXi has already left, but he made breakfast for her.. ;D So considerate.
Although the next morning some low-life has plastered the school's doors, walls etc. with pictures from the security footage, showing MuCheng with despicable Cai. MuCheng is facing a public humiliation because people start to believe that she is selling herself for money. There's also a text message circulating and President Fang gets the news, the school then decides to have a hearing - an unofficial law hearing to get to the bottom of the case, because otherwise the school's reputation will be damaged. GuangXi proposes the idea to MuCheng and offers to represent her. TuoYe finds out through his technical friend that Zhang Ai Li is responsible for the pictures and the text messages circulating, and she is also the one who stole the security tape. TueYo makes it his mission to get it back, because it's very strong evidence that can prove MuCheng's innocence. TuoYe also questions GuangXi's ability, since GuangXi isn't exactly famous for being the most clever or dedicated student, more like the opposite, but GuangXi promises to do his very best to find the truth.

Xu Fang Guo - that disgusting a*shole offers to defend despicable Cai just to spite GuangXi and to prove that he can win in a battle against GuangXi.
GuangXi begins to study hard in order to win the "truth hearing" and to prove MuCheng's innocence. GuangXi meets YiQian and they play a bit of basketball to help GuangXi clear his mind and get a new perspective. This is the first time YiQian hears about this girl who is obviously rather important to GuangXi, but she has to leave for America in order to finalise her papers for her transfer to Sheng De University. But she gives him a mp3 player with psychological reports that she has collected on criminals who have committed sexual assaults. She hopes it can help him "reason" or get into the mind of a criminal and ultimately help him win the case.



GuangXi receives help from lawyer Xiao Lin and the next day he visits Xiao Ah Yi, hoping to reason with her and get her to testify for MuCheng. She refuses but GuangXi leaves his number with her saying that if she gets struck by lightning i.e. if she suddenly changes her mind, she can call him.. Before he leaves he takes pictures of the house, including pictures of MuCheng's room.

OMG - Seems like MuCheng & GuangXi will meet in episode 8. GuangXi will def. meet XiaoLe, I still think he's such a bright kid, recognising his father immediately :P Sunday is so, so far away..
There's just something about Xiao Xiao Bin (XiaoLe) that's so cute, maybe it's his eyes?

Why am I still seeing that stupid law student from years before? Urgh.. Get off the screen you disgusting person..!

Autumn's Concerto Episode 7 (w.o. English subs)

I've been to work today, so didn't have time to update along with the airing of the drama.
Episode 7 was good though, I know some people find it a little draggy and they don't like this episode as much as the rest because there's no MuCheng and GuangXi scenes. Although, personally I find that "these" episodes are necessary. As much as I miss the MuCheng and GuangXi interaction it was necessary to see everything that happened during those 6 years.
A major plus though- Xiao Xiao Bin Aka. Liang XiaoLe is über cute! I seriously love the little guy :D On a side note, I'm not very fond of the "new" GuangXi, but I do love TuoYe though :)

One thing I hate though, is that SETTV show previews of something we won't see till next episode. I hate how they show too much and pretty much spoils it all. I don't mind a little spoiler, but I mind too much spoiler that comes too early.

That is a part of the message that Guangxi had left for Mucheng but that stab from her stepfather, changed everything, Guangxi is rushed back to the hospital, battling for his life, and Mucheng is being led by Tuoye to ‘Hua Tian Village’, having uncertainty of her future, starting afresh…
Time flies, 6 years had passed…
At the ice ring, a sharp figure moving around swiftly, the eyes reflected a steady soul, Guangxi is not Guangxi anymore, he had new start, he is not a successful lawyer, in his life, there is no existence of a person named Mucheng…
There is only YiQian, like a warm angel accompanying him, from Guangxi learning how to speak again to tying his own shoe lace, she had been by his side always, she is Guangxi’s light of hope and the person he loved most…
As for Mucheng at “Hua Tian Village”, she had a new identity –
A single mom, at her side is a adorable small boy named XiaoLe! XiaoLe is Mucheng’s purpose of life, and the reason to be excited about! The mother and son had been living a quiet and peaceful life in the village, of course, there is Tuoye who is still secretly in love with Mucheng…
Tuoye is also a big ‘tree’, protecting Mucheng from the gossips in the village, he is also the ‘earthling father’ who is always there to console XiaoLe whenever he is calling for his ‘alien dad’ to come to fetch him (but never appear)
Guangxi and Mucheng, they are like 2 parallel lines that will never crossed each other’s path. Autumn's Concerto - Episode 2 [Recap]

Recap for episode 2. I think I'll be behind for a bit with the recaps, since I started doing it so late. But once I catch up, I hope to do recaps before the airing of the next episode. We'll see how that goes.

Summary for episode 2:
We hear about Sheng De University's financial trouble
We meet He YiQian, rich daughter of Director He.
We see GuangXi's conscience appear.
We hear about GuangXi's past, the loss of his father as an 8 year old boy.
YiQian and GuangXi agree to go out.
MuCheng is kidnapped by Zhang Ai Li
GuangXi and TuoYe saves MuCheng.

New people we meet:
He YiQian - daughter of Director He


The 2nd episode begins with a conversation between Hua Tuo Ye and MuCheng. It's VERY obvious that he cares about her a LOT!
Later we learn that Sheng De University is in a financial crisis. They seem to be owing money to Director He from a company named Huan Ye. President Fang (GuangXi's mother) is quite desperate to come up with a solution. Director He suggest that President Fang mortgage Sheng De Tang (an abandoned assembly hall at Sheng De University) so Huan Ye company can tear it down and use the land for a new project. Apparently President Fang has bad memories of the assembly hall - it seems that GuangXi's father did something at the place.. Problem is GuangXi is very attached to the place, because there's a piano where he used to play with his artistic father.


We then meet He YiQian. - Rich daughter of Director He of course. (I knew some rich girl would come in..!) But sadly, I can't hate this one, she's polite, beautiful, smart, and very helpful even. YiQian sneaks her way into the hockey rink while GuangXi is playing with his team, he then tells her that the rink is a dangerous place and she shouldn't just come in whenever she likes. YiQian however, also seems to have a flair for hockey and manages to score a goal, although much to GuangXi's disapproval cause he doesn't like strangers on the ice rink. YiQian gets of the rink since GuangXi is in other words, asking her to get out since she's not a student at the school.
She meets her dad and he asks her what she thinks of the school - apparently YiQian is checking it out and is considering transferring to Sheng De... GuangXi's lack of manners has apparently managed to leave a deep impression on her.

After hockey GuangXi's mother approaches GuangXi and tells him the girl he just met was the daughter of Director He. Funny thing is, GuangXi immediately replies "I'm not interested" - as if he already knows what she is planning to say. GuangXi's mother threatens to tear down Sheng De Tang and GuangXi is not the least surprised, he obviously believes his mother drove his father to death, so he thinks she must feel guilty when seeing Sheng De Tang. If GuangXi doesn't want to lose Sheng De Tang he has make sure He YiQian "successfully transfer to Sheng De University", she's obviously implying GuangXi making sure she's happy. - In other words, President Fang is practically telling her son to be a gigolo to solve the school's financial crisis, some mother she is! No wonder GuangXi calls her the "Old Hag". A cold "Old Hag" just replies that if he does well, they'll get to keep Sheng De Tang. - Is the woman completely freed from human emotions?

TuoYe walks MuCheng home where he is being scolded by Xiao Ah Yi for having hit GuangXi. Xiao Ah Yi calls addresses TuoYe by his nickname, the "Gardener" because his family manages a flower village (as far as I understood it, and besides he's good with flowers, which is kinda cute..) Anyways, she obviously disapproves of him, she cares more about Ren GuangXi because he's the son of President Fang. Seems like Xiao Ah Yi and President Fang have a lot in common, they both like to sell their children for money. Tsk.. Both are totally shameless. However, none of them are as disgusting as Uncle Cai (or depending on how you look at it, perhaps they are just as disgusting?), when he hears that MuCheng and GuangXi definitely didn't hit it off well, he laughs. He of course has a filthy mind and wants to keep MuCheng for himself. - Disgusting pervert!

Xiao Ah Yi wants MuCheng to apologise to GuangXi tomorrow and even adds, that if the President's son (GuangXi) asks MuCheng to sleep with him, she even has to reply, thanks. - In other words, thanking him for being so "kind" to sleep with her. Xiao Ah Yi says that she has raised her for so long now, if she tells her (MuCheng) to sell her body, she should do it. This is beyond ridiculous, I know!



A furious and devastated MuCheng runs off. - Sadly Uncle Cai follows her. She ends up at Sheng De Tang where she sees a piano. She feels drawn to it and starts playing on it. She's interrupted by GuangXi (who is often in Sheng De Tang because it makes him feel close to his father), he tells her her hands are too filthy to play the piano. MuCheng tries to excuse herself for just walking in and touching the piano, but GuangXi who is already pissed off by his Old Hag of a mother doesn't let her go that easily. He indirectly calls her cheap for selling herself out for money. (He still thinks she really betted with the students at school). He says they've kissed, now they should have sex right? It's quite obvious he's back to his self-centred jerk personality who thinks women should undress when he tells them to. He shows no respect for MuCheng before she starts shedding tears. This is the first time he has seen a woman show true feelings by crying and he asks her not to undress. MuCheng managed to touch his deeply burried, cold heart with her tears and GuangXi's conscience suddenly appears. It was probably MuCheng's words that finally got to him, she told him to tell her how much fun he was having while sitting there watching her humiliate herself in front of him.



GuangXi is used to the women around him being cold, distant and only with him to get benefits. He realises that MuCheng is different. - Yay ! :D Unfortunately, perverted Uncle Cai has been peaking inside from the window and he thinks MuCheng and GuangXi have sex. He's furious because he got her first, and he "raised" her and all. - Perverted, despicable man! (The man is unbelievable and I wish I could somehow appear on the screen and strangle him..)
MuCheng mentions that all men are the same, they all think it's fun to humiliate and bully a person like that. GuangXi is taken aback by the "all men" and suddenly feels the need to protect her. Ironic and very double-standards from GuangXi's side as he almost did the same to her. At least he knows himself and asks "who else has treated her that way".

Uncle Cai's "live show" is interrupted when a guard asks him what he's doing on school property. GuangXi and MuCheng has to hide otherwise she will be in trouble for trespassing. They end up finding a bird that's wounded. MuCheng decides to save it. GuangXi tells MuCheng about a legend about a little 8 year old boy who died in Sheng De Tang. It's obviously GuangXi's own story, but he talks about the little boy in 3rd person. The father let go of the little boy's hands when he "committed suicide" (he doesn't directly say it, but implies it). GuangXi then says the boy died after having to endure the pain and suffering of being abandoned. MuCheng being her optimistic self, talks about her own story with her father whom she also lost at a young age. She tries to convince him to be more optimistic. A memorable quote is

"The father hoped that his son would understand that when he falls he should learn how to stand back up by himself instead of whining and blaming others on the floor".

GuangXi admits that MuCheng doesn't seem like a regular bento girl (her family sells bentos), he says he could hear from her piano play that there seemed to be a special feeling behind it. - Well of course there is, it's also a memory of MuCheng's father.
We see the first genuine smile from GuangXi and it's very cute :)

MuCheng and GuangXi end up falling asleep in Sheng De Tang, actually MuCheng thinks she was stranded in there, but GuangXi secretly had a key. He just enjoyed her company too much to let her go ;)



Later GuangXi and Uncle Cai has a confrontation. GuangXi gives MuCheng his cellphone and tells her to call the police if Uncle Cai tries to do anything. Unfortunately, he forgot that was the same phone he took the picture of them kissing on. So when his friends ask him whether he won this bet or not, he has to admit that this time he lost. This time he met an honest girl who would actually cry. GuangXi is punished by having to run several laps around the school wearing Zhang Ai Li's (GuangXi's previous victim from ep. 1) shoes. GuangXi falls to the ground and almost faints. YiQian walks by and helps GuangXi get up.
Turns out YiQian is a med-student, cliché much? She's rich, she's smart and she's going be a doctor?
GuangXi notices how concerned YiQian is and directly asks her if she's interested in him. He bluntly tells her that President Fang wishes for them to date, that way her father would give them money. While a normal girl would be put off and insulted by this ridiculous idea of President Fang's, YiQian just smiles appreciates and admires his honesty. The two agree on going out the following afternoon.

MuCheng accompanies Uncle Cai to a market where he buys a water turtle. Apparently they are good nutrition for men, and it's apparently also a part of his plan to rape MuCheng. - Did I mention the man was beyond despicable? Uncle Cai is almost trying to pick up the woman selling him the turtle, even though she's married ! Uncle Cai talks about how he raised "something/someone" for so long, she can't escape from him. MuCheng knows exactly what he means and runs away. MuCheng breaks down in tears, she is tempted to call GuangXi but decides to wipe her tears away and be strong. Meanwhile GuangXi is waiting for her in Sheng De Tang - he demanded that she would come every night and play the piano for him.
MuCheng arrives too late and plays some rubbish that doesn't please GuangXi's ears.
GuangXi asks her what happened to her. GuangXi talks about the bird they both saved and MuCheng replies,
"Just because you saved it, doesn't mean you have the right to interfere with its everything!" - She's obviously referring to her perverted uncle who did save her, but that does not mean he has the right to sexually abuse or harass her.



Zhang Ai Li is still pissed with GuangXi so she decides to kidnap MuCheng in order to teach GuangXi a lesson. Zhang Ai Li has discovered that MuCheng actually matters to GuangXi. Even though GuangXi pretends to not care, he quickly runs to the ice rink where Ai Li has captured MuCheng. GuangXi arrives, much to MuCheng's surprise. She had no idea she held such an important position in GuangXi's heart <3>
Hua TuoYe arrives, fights the bad guys while asking GuangXi to leave with MuCheng. GuangXi reach out to take MuCheng's hand in other words, asks her to trust him, she does and they run off.

My apologises for writing such a long recap again. It's really not my intention to write an essay for each episode, but there's just so much happening in one episode, and so many important details. I just can't seem to write short and precise.
