This week's song is an old song featured in a drama that I saw a lot of years ago. It's called "Go on The Stage" and it was about ballet.

It's in Mandarin and it's quite good, I once listened to it every single day at least 20 times.

So, I've been really busy with both work and school as exams are approaching. So it's taken me a while to upload and d/l this episode.
But it's finally done and it's of course, 6feeling versions as they are much better!

Episode 4 - Megaupload
I haven't even had the time to watch it myself, so I won't say much about the episode. But you can hear one of Danson's songs in this episode. It's called "Tell Me"/"Gao Shuo Wo" but it is unfortunately not a part of the OST.
Here's the 411 on the OST. It is expected to be released on June 13, 2008 but you can pre-order it at YesAsia
What you might want to know about the OST:
1. The opening theme, "Heng Xing" will NOT BE ON THE CD!
2. One of the sub themes "Gao Shuo Wo" by Danson Tang will also NOT BE ON THE CD!
3. Genie Shuo's sub theme, the ending song "Disappeared Rainbow" WILL BE ON THE CD.
4. The CD will contain A LOT of Genie's songs.
My thoughts:
How could they do this to us?! What is an OST without the opening theme and Danson's song? I mean isn't the point with releasing an OST to gather ALL the songs featured in the drama? What OFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK is there over listening to Genie's songs? - Don't misunderstand me, I like Genie, I like her character in here a lot, but really this is more like a promotional stunt from Genie's company than to actually release an album for us fans.
I can totally understand why Genie is the only one on the CD cover, I found it odd, as she isn't the only main character, but I guess we know why now. Shame on the company! Why don't they just make it a Genie album already? - Besides, this little stunt of theirs is definitely not doing a very good job in promoting the drama. More like killing it!

So, I've been watching this new drama from ATV, and due to the fact that AEU uploaders haven't had the time or sources to find the latest episodes, I have helped them out a bit.
I won't write a summary etc. I'll just link D-addicts, where you can read more about it. I find it rather interesting, I think it's ATV's version of Heart of Greed (Aired on TVB), although I definitely prefer FB (Flaming Butterfly), at least they don't have a whiny little character like HOG did, or a family drama focussing on two people only.

FTLY: To be honest, I'm disappointed. I really like FTLY, but this particular episode didn't deserve the high ratings, I mean considering the fact that we were fed with Bianca (Anna)'s horrible acting and lots of Anna/Cun Xi scenes, which I DID NOT like.
I must admit that the diary/scrapbook scene was cute, but that was about it. I think that there has been previous episodes that were much better.
Another thing is that FTLY broke PTF (Prince Turned Frog) highest ratings record, which I'm not quite happy about. I love Qiao En and Ethan Ruan is good as well, but I still prefer Qiao En with Ming Dao. IMO, PTF was better.
But I am glad that FTLY is doing well, it once again proves Qiao En's popularity and superb acting.
DCF/RL: Again, I feel sorry for DCF, I myself didn't have time to watch it yesterday, because I couldn't find it online and because I was busy doing so many other things. But I really feel that DCF's got potential, why are the ratings always so low? Last time it could be explained by the lousy way of calculating, but this time? Jia You DCF!

In honour of the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake victims, this week's song is the Chen Nuo (Promise) sung by Various Artists included Andy Lau, Hacken Lee, Miriam Yeung, Andy Hui etc.
This is the TVB version, there is another version sung by Jackie Chen etc. but this is not the case.

Update!!: The ratings for DCF were only for the last 30 mins of the repeat of the episode at 23.30 in the evening! These ratings don't have anything to do with the episode when it originally aired at 3.30 PM in the afternoon, hence the very low ratings. - It is btw, totally NOT fair, as these ratings will affect the final average ratings of this drama.
My thoughts and comments:
FTLY: The episode was rather interesting, no miscarriage as I assumed. But it will probably come quite soon. Anna came back. I really don't find it fair that she can waltz in an out of Cun XI's life as she wishes. But anyways, Dylan had a talk with CX, XY lied to the Granny and planned to go back to Jiang Mu Island. But XY was admitted to the hospital, thanks to Dylan, otherwise she probably would have fainted on the road. And Granny was so angry with CX that she revealed the secret to Anna.
So all in all a good episode, and the ratings increased as I assumed. I think FTLY might end up breaking PTF's record. Even though I actually prefer PTF (Prince Turned Frog) because I prefer Qiao En with Ming Dao - Right now I don't even feel that Ethan Ruan (Cun Xi) deserves XY right now. Cun Xi, SHAME ON YOU! Your indecisiveness is hurting people.
DCF/RL: I am appalled by the ratings, the time slot was changed because of a charity event for the victims of the earthquake in China (my sincere condolences). So this weekend it wasn't competing with FTLY or WTSYA. I found the episode rather sad, as I always do because I feel so sorry for Leng Lie (Danson Tang). He loves Xiao Shu (Genie) but she doesn't want his pity. But the beach scene with LL&XS was adorable and when the members of the Dan Chao Fan diner helped XS painting and decorating her new house. I still find Xiao Xun and Ken annoying, but they were nice when they helped decorating. But I really don't understand why the ratings are so low! DCF might not be Oscar worthy but it's not that bad. I have seen something better, but really I've seen worse as well! It dropped below 1!
I don't think that the ratings do the drama justice. Really, I will stop depending on ratings when I judge a drama.

FTLY fans will definitely recognize the song, and most of you probably like it already. I finally got a hold of something that sounds like a full version of Genie Zhuo's song "The Rainbow That Disappeared" aka. The subtheme(ending theme) of Rolling Love/Dan Chao Fan.

Congratulations to FTLY! I do agree that the episode was freaking hot. With the kiss, the confession, the auction it couldn't go down in ratings.
On the other hand, I feel sad for DCF (Dan Chao Fan/Rolling Love), the ratings decreased.. I really don't think that these ratings did DCF justice. It's like Bull Fighting all over again, sometimes if they have heavy competition e.g. ISWAK II / Bull Fighting, FTLY / DCF then it's just hard for these dramas to rise in ratings, therefore ratings don't always determine whether a drama is good or not.

Leng Lie comes from a well-off family and is a Cordon Bleu trained chef who is widely acclaimed for his nearly perfect cuisine. He is admired Internationally by women and chefs as a representative of the highest standards. Though in Leng Lie's heart there is a regret from a Valentines Day two years in the past, as singer/songwriter Guan Xiao Shu suddenly hit the big time. Xiao Shu and Leng Lie grew up together as close friends until one day, Valentine's Day, Leng Lie decided to confess his feelings. Unfortunately, an unexpected accident took place that day. Xiao Shu was victim of a car accident which stole her eyesight. Feeling responsible, Leng Lie decided to take care of Xiao Shu's future, but not wanting a love based on remorse, Xiao Shu rejected him.
One day Xiao Shu entered the "Fried Rice with Egg" diner. The simple and plain fried rice she ate there had an odd effect on her. She felt relaxed and carefree. Odder still, the cook who prepared the meal could only cook eggs and rice. Michelin was new and a rather bumbling chef. Though Michelin possesed a latent talent for cooking he only relied on the skills his father had passed on to him. With this, he had earned himself a reputation and an income in the vilage by producing 100 plates of fried rice with egg each day. Though, upon meeting Xiao Shi the many flavors of food and love opened up to him. Likewise, Michelin's frank nature gives Xiao Shu the ability to cultivate an independent lifestyle. All the while, Leng Lie has stayed by Xiao Shu's side secretly aiding her, witnessing the growing feelings between Xiao Shu and Michelin.

I have a confession though. I haven't had the time to watch the first episode myself, yet.. I just loaded it, but I haven't had the time yet. I will though, I have sort of seen parts of the episode through links @ youtube, and I think it's got potential. Danson & Jiro are goodlooking, as always, but this time around Danson isn't playing some stiff guy with no emotions. This time he's in a triangle.. Something else that I noticed was the second female, Xiao Xun's voice. Let's just say.. I don't like it. But maybe I'll get used to it.
Another thing is that I totally love the theme song. It's sung by Fahrenheit and is called Heng Xing/Star. - It has been ripped already, but the version isn't very good. I will upload it later, when I've tried to edit it a bit.
The ratings for last night's episode of FTLY are out. FTLY broke 5, again! :)

Congratulations FTLY! Although I am very happy to see the ratings for FTLY I kinda feel sorry for Rolling Love. Yesterday was their first episode. I think FTLY has a strong fanbase now, and not even I who wants to see Rolling Love went to see it before watching FTLY. In fact, I still haven't gotten around to watch RL even if Jiro Wang & Danson Tang are in it.
I hope the ratings for FTLY will increase further, the upcoming episodes seem rather interesting. Anna will probably be back by the end of episode 9, I wonder if she will see that gorgeous kiss between Cunxi and Xinyi..??
I just got home from work, gah.. Tired. But of course, I'm glad I get to see FTLY today, I heard that there will be a kiss coming up, well in episode 9 I think.
