Moonlight Resonance (HOG II)

I realised I hadn't really properly introduced the drama as I myself, wasn't counting on watching it. But now that I am, and that I will probably talk about it a lot, I thought it might be a good idea to just give a brief introduction to the show, despite the fact that most people probably have heard of it already.

Synopsis:

Chung Siu Hor (Lee Sze Ki) and her husband Kam Tai Jo (Ha Yu) worked hard for a lot of years to establish a rather successful cake shop, mainly selling Mooncakes. Hor later finds out that Jo is cheating on her with Hor's close friend Yan Hong (Michelle Yim). Hor tries to keep it together for the sake of the family, but Hong still ends up getting what she wants. Hor and Jo get a divorce and they fight over the custody of their 6 children, Ka (Moses Chan), Ho (Raymond Lam), Yuet (Tavia Yeung), Yuen (Chris Lai), Hing (Fala Chen), Chung (Vincent Wan)

Ka, Yuen and Chung ends up living with their father while the rest are brought up by their mother. Jo and Hong opens a cake shop of their own with great success. They keep expanding and end up having 10+ stores, Hor however struggles in her own cake shop with her father and the three children she lives with. Hor has a sister, Ah Sa (Susanna Kwan). Ah Sa is a divorcée herself, and she always causes trouble. The family is often apart and fighting due to Hong's manipulative actions. She manipulates people and situations to her own advantage.

Quick facts about the children:

Ka is a flirtaous stock-maniac who refuses to call Hong "Mom". He has a pretty good relationship with his mom Hor. He will be romantically linked to Yuet and Ka Mei/Kay (Kate Tsui) who is Ah Sa's daughter.

Ho is the son who cares about the family the most. He always puts his family before anyone or anything else. He is Jo's mother's favourite grandson. He will be romantically linked to Ting Ting (Tracy Ip) & Yu So Chau/Yu So Sam who is Hong's biological daughter.

Yuet is the adopted daughter, and because of that she is often bullied by Ah Sa. Yuet is close to Hing. Yuet will be romantically linked to Ka.

Yuen is spoiled and self-centred. Of all the children he has the best relationship with their stepmom Hong. Ever since he was a child Hong spoiled him and he now finds himself closer to Hong than his biological mother Hor. Aside from his many girlfriends, Yuen will also be romantically linked to Ka Mei/Kay.

Hing is the mute girl who is often hurt and sad because of her disabilty. She was working in the cake shop until Ah Ho finally pushed her out to be an Office Lady (like she wanted). She will end up with her boss Cheng Ka Lok (Dexter Young).

Chung is the youngest of the 6 children. He was shipped off to England to study by Hong even though he didn't want to. He was neglected by his family since young (since he ended up with Jo & Hong) and as a result he has a distant relationship with his family. He is often silent and hides his feelings.
